Use this route for an existing state discharge-date or other releasable general-information record. The LDPSC Public Information page says sentence-computation questions and general inquiries should not be sent to the records address.
These pages and official services provide the most common routes:
- For a released person or a parish release record, start with the full St. Tammany Parish search and records path, then use STPSO Criminal Records when the short public window has closed.
- For post-release supervision, use Parole / Probation. STPSO lists 985-871-8351 as the local Probation and Parole routing number.
- For people who recently left the parish jail, check Released Last 24 Hours. The official Sheriff source actually spans 48 hours.
- For a date or custody alert, use Inmate Release Date and the VINELink Release Check. Louisiana directs state custody inquiries to LAVNS or VINELink and its telephone locator.
- For a facility-specific question, use the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center page linked in the footer and confirm details with the facility.
- For a state prisoner, use LDPSC’s Locate Imprisoned Person instructions. Louisiana does not publish a conventional historical DOC profile database.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP Inmate Locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator. USMS-only pretrial custody may require the federal court, Marshals Service, or actual detention facility. The STPSO resources directory lists 504-599-7800 for local immigration routing.
