Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search Tools
When you type a name, place, or other term into a third-party search box, the query is sent to the provider that operates that tool. St. Tammany Parish Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy applies to its receipt and use of the query.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or use a contact form, we retain the message and contact details as needed to reply and manage the conversation. We do not share a message outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard technical details may be recorded when a browser loads a page. They help operate, measure, and protect the service.
- Your Internet Protocol address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device category and operating system.
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- Date and time markers for visits and requests.
Cookie Use
Cookies and similar browser storage can show how visitors move through the site and may support site or advertising functions. You may block cookies through browser settings. Some features may work differently or become unavailable when cookies are blocked.
How Information Is Used
- Operate the site and maintain reasonable page speed.
- Send a search request to the selected partner service.
- Understand which St. Tammany Parish topics visitors use most.
- Detect, diagnose, and correct technical faults.
- Display advertising that may reflect general interests.
Links and Outside Services
Links may lead to STPSO release records, Louisiana corrections resources, government portals, courts, federal locators, or commercial search tools. Louisiana public-record access is governed by Title 44 and other applicable laws, but each destination controls its own website data. Once you follow an outside link, that destination’s privacy notice and practices apply.
Advertising partners may use their own technology to measure activity across websites or select targeted ads. That processing occurs through the partner’s systems, not through a database of search terms kept by this site.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be made available to service providers or authorities for the functions described here.
- Search partners that receive and process submitted queries.
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and page use.
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads.
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Practices and Limits
We use ordinary administrative and technical safeguards suited to a public website. No Internet transmission, storage system, or connected service can be promised as fully secure or immune from a breach. Use the site with that limit in mind.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may contact us and request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
- Ask for a copy of personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Ask that eligible personal information be erased.
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where the law provides that choice.
